UPGRADING FROM THE DOS VERSIONS OF BIRDBASE

If you have installed BirdBase 2 for DOS or BirdBase 3 for DOS you can purchase an upgrade kit to BirdBase for Windows. The kit consists of the BirdBase for Windows program file and other associated files, its users manual, and a data conversion utility.  This utility makes your BirdBase 2 or BirdBase 3 data useable with BirdBase for Windows, and requires no input from you after it starts. After it finishes you will have exactly the same species list and recorded sightings in BirdBase for Windows that you had in BirdBase 2 or BirdBase 3.
