NOTE:  A MAMMAL DATA UPDATE ISSUED ON MARCH 1, 2004 OR LATER NOW CAN BE INSTALLED ONLY AFTER INSTALLING A MARCH 1, 2007 OR SUBSEQUENT ISSUE OF BIRDBASE AND/OR OF BIRDAREA (FOR VISTA OR PRIOR WINDOWS VERSIONS).

The March 1, 2004 Mammal Data Add-On Update is a utility that updates the mammals species list plus your recorded sightings in BirdBase, and/or the mammals species list plus ranges in BirdArea, to handle all of the many changes Dr. Duff and Ms. Lawson made in doing the research for their book Mammals of the World (2004: London: A. & C. Black). The utility carries out these tasks in a largely automatic way.
